I land in my city and feel the humidity and its unforgiven sun; I smile. Also notice a different air, a mix between peace and fatigue; you can tell Venezuela has recovered its freedom.
All of my being shudders, I am waiting for my luggage, the same suitcases that I packed with the illusion of a better future and a lot of sadness, today I await rejoicing because that better future has come.
The airports all around the country are full of people, we are arriving to rebuild Venezuela. Tears, finally of joy, flooding the country because families are finally together.
I have returned to Venezuela, in my dreams, in my mind and in my letters. I’m in pain because of you Venezuela, you keep being the trip I haven’t made yet.
